Yellow Springs business wins award from Ohio EPA

YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (WDTN) – YSI, Inc. has received the highest stewardship honor from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The company makes equipment used to track water quality.

They’ve also implemented a number of conservation projects and efficiency programs at its Greene County location, including the reduced use of batteries, switching to LED lighting, and starting community events to help area families to go green.

YSI, Inc. General Manager David Barclay says, “We don’t just talk the talk in providing equipment to our customers. We also continuously improve our own efforts in maintaining our environment around our site in terms of the waste we produce, the greenhouse gasses we produce, and the energy we use.”
