Xenia school closes early after fuel spill

XENIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Summit Academy closed early on Tuesday due to a fuel spill.

The school’s principal told 2 NEWS that students were dismissed at 11:45 am for safety reasons after a truck carrying diesel spilled onto the property and into the sewers.

The Xenia Fire Department responded to the scene.

Classes are expected to resume as normal on Wednesday.

It is unknown at this time when the spill occurred or how much fuel was released into the sewers.
