DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Ohio Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to slow down in construction zones as part of National Work Zone Safety Awareness Week.
Last year, there were more than 4,600 crashes in Ohio work zones and more than 150 ODOT crews were struck.
Officials are hoping to reduce that number.
This year’s theme is: Drive Like You Work Here. The event was held in coordination with local police departments.
