Woman walks blocks for help after being shot on Dayton street

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are investigating a shooting in Dayton.

Someone called 911 to report the shooting in the 1400 block of Weaver Street, near S. Euclid Avenue, around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The caller said a woman showed up at their house with gunshot wounds to the leg and hand.

Medics arrived and took the woman to a local hospital with reported non-life threatening injuries.

The victim said she didn’t know who shot her.

She said she was shot a few blocks away and walked to the house on weaver street for help.

Police have not released any suspect information yet.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Dayton Police.
