TROY, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman taking out the trash was hit by a car in Troy Thursday morning.

Our partners at the Piqua Daily Call say the accident happened around 7 a.m. on Nashville Road, near S.R. 55.

Police say the woman was hit while taking out her trash. It was dark and raining heavily when the accident happened.

Officers requested CareFlight to transport the woman to the hospital, but it was unable to fly due to weather conditions.
