DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A woman is being held on multiple charges after an incident at a Dayton gas station early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to reports of a crash at the Sunoco gas station on Wayne Avenue, near Wyoming Street, just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers arrived and began investigating.

Once on scene, officers learned a 32-year-old woman got into a vehicle that was left running in front of the gas station. The vehicle was not hers but she tried to drive away in it.

There was a passenger inside the vehicle. The woman tried to drive off in the vehicle, but the passenger fought with the woman.

The suspect drove the vehicle in reverse, hitting a pillar by a gas pump. She then went forward and hit two parked vehicles.

Police say the woman tried to run away, but a witness stopped her and held her until officers arrived and arrested her.

The woman is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on felony abduction and theft charges, as well as a parole violation.
