DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A Dayton woman was arrested Thursday after she threatened to shoot at police officers, which began a standoff in Dayton.

Police were called to a home in the 1500 block of Wesleyan Road around 11:15 am Thursday.Streets in the area were blocked off while police dealt with the situation.

Police tell 2 NEWS they received reports of a woman wanted on a probation violation in a home with a weapon.

Police say when officers arrived and tried to speak with the woman she threatened to shoot at the officers.

SWAT teams were called to the scene and began talking with the woman to try and get her to exit the home.

After approximately an hour, the woman came out and was taken into custody without incident.

She was arrested for a probation violation. Officers did not confirm whether the woman was armed but said the incident is still under investigation.
