Witness sees car, Springfield school bus collide head-on

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – One student and two Springfield City Schools employees were taken to the hospital after a crash between a school bus and a car Tuesday afternoon.

Springfield Police tells 2 NEWS it happened around 4 pm at the intersection of Glenn Avenue and High Street.

A spokesperson with Springfield City Schools says that four preschool students were on board the bus at the time of the crash but they were not seriously injured.

The student and district employees were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The driver of the car was also taken to a nearby hospital.

A witness tells 2 NEWS that they saw the car cross the median and collide head-on with the bus.
