Winter Storm Warnings issued for entire Miami Valley

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings for the entire Miami Valley.

The warnings will begin at 4 am Saturday and remain in effect until 4 am Sunday.

All counties in the Miami Valley are affected including:

  • Butler
  • Champaign
  • Clark
  • Clinton
  • Darke
  • Greene
  • Logan
  • Mercer
  • Miami
  • Montgomery
  • Preble
  • Shelby
  • Warren

Heavy mixed precipitation is expected with snow accumulations up to 10-inches in some areas.

Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Jamie Jarosik says to expect cloudy skies today. Freezing rain, sleet, and heavy snow head our way for Saturday.

Blowing and drifting snow will be an issue Saturday night and Sunday morning.  It will be very windy and turn much colder.
