MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) - A boil order has been issued in Miamisburg after a water main break on Linden Avenue Wednesday.
The City of Miamisburg said the break happened on Linden Avenue west of the Great Miami River near SR-725.
Linden Avenue has since reopened and repairs have been made to the break, but the boil order remains in effect.
Officials say water pumps were being tested in preparation for a nearby water tank rehab project which caused pressure fluctuations. This led to the failure of an aging water main.
People who live in and near the Overland Trail subdivision, also known as the Stagecoach West subdivision, are now under a boil order until further notice and will be notified by door hangers, the city said. The City said less than 100 homes are in the affected area.
