Mother nature may be making up for our chilly April by bringing us warmer temperatures for May.

It’s been warm throughout much of May and while we haven’t broken any records we’ve been feeling the heat the last couple of weeks.

Looking at the high temperatures so far this month every day this highs have been either at or above average.
When you factor in both the highs and the lows our average monthly temperature is 68 degrees which is 9 degrees above average.

This makes it the second warmest start to May on record. Our normal high for this time of year is 71 and normal low is 51.
We haven’t set any record highs or lows…yet.

Tuesday we missed setting a record for the warmest low by just one degree.

As for precipitation, officially at the airport we’ve picked up about 0.32″ which is1.8″ below average.
This makes it the 5th driest start to May on record.

This weather pattern looks like it will continue through the rest of the week so our warm streak looks like it may continue.
