It’s October first and it doesn’t really feel like it with highs in the 80s this week. September was a warm one too.
The monthly temperature for September made it up to 70.2 degrees which is 4.8 degrees above normal. We had five 90 degree days making it the 13th warmest September on record.
As for rainfall we picked up 6.72 inches of rainfall which is 3.42 inches above normal. Almost five inches of rain fell in a four day period. This makes it the fourth wettest September on record.
Looking ahead to October – this is when we see a drastic difference in our normals from the beginning of the month to the end.
On October 1st the normal high is 70 and normal low is 49 but by the end of October our normals drop dramatically. The normal high is 58 and normal low is 40.
