MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – An area Walgreens was honored with the 2019 Excellence in Scanning Award on Monday.
Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith presents the award to businesses that show a commitment to accurate pricing.
Monday, a plaque was awarded to managers at the Wayne Avenue location.
His office performs price verifications at local retailers to make sure posted prices match the price at checkout.
“You’ve got thousands of items on the shelves here and constantly changing prices, so it’s a big job, we know that, we appreciate that. It’s a big job, and consumers appreciate it. This is the type of thing that brings fairness to the marketplace and confidence in the marketplace,” says Keith.
There are 15 Walgreens in Montgomery County. 13 of them received perfect scores.
