DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton will hold a new volunteer orientation in April.
Volunteers provide a variety of support and services for patients such as shopping, gardening, and companionship. They also serve as ambassadors, sharing information about hospice care.
“The mission is important, not just for me, but for the whole organization,” says Amy LeVan, Director of Volunteer Services at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. “It’s being able to provide those end-of-life services that people need and being a volunteer helps us to be able to do those things.”
April’s training session is scheduled for April 24 from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm at their location on Wilmington Avenue.
