VIDEO: Thieves target Kettering cell phone stores overnight

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — Police say thieves targeted two cell phone stores early Monday morning.

Officers responded just before 5 a.m. to the Verizon Store in the 3000 block of far hills avenue near East Dorothy Lane.

Police say several people used a rock to try and break into the store, smashing in the front window. No one got inside the Verizon Store.

Officers say someone used the same rock to break into the Sprint Store in the 1600 block of W. Dorothy Lane, near S. Dixie Drive in Kettering.

Police say someone did get into the Sprint Store. There’s no word if anything was taken.

Both incidents are under investigation.
