Police responded to a home for reports of theft, and as the cruiser approaches, a truck pulling a trailer takes off across the home’s front lawn and clips the cruiser in the process.

Officers followed the vehicle through a handful of city streets before a high-speed pursuit on I-75 northbound that ended at a home in Harrison Township.

Watch the bodycam footage below:

A male and female suspect barricaded themselves inside the residence and refused to come out for several hours.

Eventually, the female called 911 and was patched through to a negotiator on scene. She came out of the house soon after, but the male remained inside.

Because of the suspect’s violent past, police wanted to take their time during the standoff, but they acted later on in the afternoon and forced entry into the home.

Both the man and woman are facing felony charges.
