MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) – Police have released the identities of individuals involved in a murder-suicide last week that left two people dead and a woman hospitalized.

The shooting suspect, 33-year-old Jovonie L. McClendon, Jr., was an employee of the United State Postal Service, having worked at the USPS branch in Washington Township.

McClendon was previously employed with the U.S. Army.

27-year-old Di’eshia Patterson remains hospitalized at Kettering Medical Center.

Her son, 6-year-old Carter L. Clemons, was also killed during the incident.

McClendon called 911 around 11:30 a.m. on February 1 and told dispatchers he had shot his girlfriend and her son.

He then proceeded to shoot himself in a live video on Facebook, which has since been taken down.
