One of the two victims from a shooting near Celina on April 11 died early Tuesday morning.
The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Dexter Lee Turner died just after 6 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rita’s Medical Center as a result of injuries he sustained in the assault.
The shooting happened April 11 at a condominium on the south side of Grand Lake St. Marys.
Authorities say one of the victims lived in the condominium. The victims were father and son.
Deputies responded to a 911 call about a man who had been shot just after 3:20 a.m. on April 11.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found two people with gunshot wounds.
“This appears to be an isolated incident and not a threat to other citizens, although people should be observant and report anything out of the ordinary,” Sheriff Solomon said.
No arrests have been made.
“The Sheriff’s Office is working hard to come up with suspects and answers on this case,” Solomon said. “We do not have a motive and information is still developing.”
The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office is investigating along with agents from Oho BCI continue to investigate the shooting.
“Now that the case is a homicide it doesn’t really change the way we have been investigating the case,” Sheriff Solomon said. “It was a serious case to begin with and was being treated that way and now it has become even more serious”.
The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office is not releasing any other information at this time.
