PREBLE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Preble County Sheriff’s Office has identified a woman who was killed in a head-on crash Tuesday night.

The crash happened on S.R. 503 just south of Pyrmont Road just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators say 29-year-old Tara Redmond from Pitsburg, Ohio was driving north on S.R. 503.

A witness told deputies the car was driving erratically prior to the crash.

Authorities say she was not wearing a seatbelt.

The man driving the pickup truck was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with reported non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities shut down S.R. 503 for nearly two hours due to the crash. All lanes have since reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
