AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — A vehicle lost control, hitting an Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser in Auglaize County late Sunday.

A trooper was investigating a crash in the left northbound lane of I-75, six miles north of Wapakoneta around 9 p.m. Sunday.

The trooper used his cruiser to block the left hand lane so the crashed vehicle could be towed.

While the trooper was sitting in his cruiser, with the overhead emergency lights on, he saw a vehicle lose control and spin towards his cruiser.

The trooper tried to move his cruiser, but the vehicle hit it in the rear end.

There were three people in the vehicle that hit the OSP cruiser. No one was injured.

The driver was cited for failure to control.

Everyone was wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to OSP.
