Two people in custody after vehicle hits sheriff’s cruiser

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Two people are in custody after a vehicle hit a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office cruiser early Monday morning.

Authorities say deputies were investigating reports of an intoxicated driver when the vehicle hit their cruiser.

It happened on Germantown Pike near Soldiers Home-West Carrollton Road around 1:20 a.m. Monday.

Deputies chased the vehicle, lost it briefly, then found the vehicle again near the intersection of S. Gettysburg Avenue and Frytown Road.

After stopping the vehicle, deputies took two a man and a woman into custody.

There were no reports of injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
