Two children suffer minor injuries in DPS bus crash

Two children suffered minor injuries in a crash involving a Dayton Public School bus.

The crash happened at the intersection of W. 6th St. and S. Ludlow St. around 8:40 a.m. Monday.

The bus reportedly ran a red light and hit a car.

Dayton Police say two children on the bus suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

A spokesperson for Dayton Public Schools says there were 14 children on the bus at the time of the crash and just released this statement: 

“We are aware there was a traffic accident involving a Dayton Public Schools bus this morning in the downtown area. We are waiting on an official report from the Dayton Police Department.”

The crash is under investigation.
