Trotwood Superintendent speaks after receiving ‘D’ score from state

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) – Trotwood-Madison schools held a press conference Friday, a day after the state released its 2018 school report cards.

The school received a “D” this year and was able to avoid a state takeover.

Its interim superintendent says he’s happy to see the progress but says this is just a step in the right direction.

“A ‘D’ is not where we want to end up, but it’s a great start from where we were,” said Tyrone Olverson, Superintendent. “For the community, it’s invigorating, it’s exciting, and everyone knows it’s our baseline and we have to grow from here.”
