Trotwood Fire and Rescue gains new life-saving equipment

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Trotwood Fire and Rescue has been chosen to receive a grant to buy a new CPR Compression Device.

The money came through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

Trotwood's Fire Chief says this machine will help free up time at the scene, so first responders can perform other life-saving tasks.

"This device goes non-stop the entire time we're working the full arrest and the quality of CPR is much better which gives you a definite better chance of surviving the incident," says Chief Richard Haack.

The device is now in service on all Trotwood Fire and Rescue ambulances.
