Trotwood cell phone store target of latest break-in

TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are investigating a break-in at a cell phone store in Trotwood.

This latest break-in happened at the Boost Mobile on Salem Avenue, near S.R. 49.

Authorities say someone from the business responded to an alarm around 3 a.m. Tuesday.

When the employee arrived, they found the front door of the business smashed in.

The employee tells 2 NEWS surveillance video shows five suspects in a vehicle.

The suspects used a cinder block to smash in the glass on the front door and force their way inside.

According to the employee, the suspects stole phones on display before running away.

Store employees are working with police to identify the suspects and recover stolen merchandise.
