DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Troopers are looking for the driver who led them on a two-county chase.

According to the Dayton post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers attempted to pull over a car for expired plates on Colonel Glenn Highway in Greene County just before midnight Thursday.

The driver took off and headed onto I-675 then switched to U-S.35.  Dispatch says speeds topped 100 miles per hour at some point during the pursuit.

The driver exited on James H. McGee Boulevard and continued down the street before crashing into a pole at the intersection of Kammer Avenue and Kilmer Avenues.

The suspect then got out of the vehicle and  took off on foot. A K-9 unit was called in to help with the search but the driver got away.

No one was hurt in the pursuit.

OSP is handling the investigation.
