Tree falls on parked car in Miamisburg

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Emergency crews responded to a tree that fell on a car in Miamisburg.

It happened around 3:18 p.m. on South Sixth Street across from Kinder Elementary School.

No injuries were reported. The vehicle involved had extensive damage. It’s windows were shattered and several large dents were left behind.

Two local Miamisburg men volunteered to clean up the debris from around the car and the road. While they don’t work for a tree cutting service, Jeffrey Thatcher and Andrew Rucker were informed about the incident and wanted to help.

They said its important to call a local tree service every year to check on the health of trees around your home.

“If you notice your tree is dying, don’t wait. When you see the top of the trees dying, just remember the roots are also dying,” Thatcher said.
