DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Kids can soon start shopping for gifts for loved ones once Tike’s Shoppe officially opens on Friday.
The Tike’s Shoppe, located in the Schuster Center Wintergarten near the Ludlow Street entrance, makes it easier for children to get gifts for family at a shop that is a little more their size.
“It’s a really exciting place for the kids because they come in with their parents and they have a little list of who they’re shopping for, they have money with them. They come in with one of our elf helpers and pick out presents for all of their family members. We wrap their gifts then they get to go back to their family with secrets they can put under the tree, and they get that gift of giving,” says manager Christie Richards.
The Tike’s Shoppe opening on Friday at 3 p.m. will be followed by the Grande Illumination around 7:45, then the Dayton Children’s Parade Spectacular in Lights.
