Thousands of volunteers to spruce up Dayton-area parks

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Over 2,000 volunteers will participate in Five Rivers MetroParks’ annual Adopt-A-Park event this Saturday.

Volunteers of all ages, accessibility levels, and backgrounds will tackle projects aimed at improving the environment. They will help clean up the sites, plant trees, prepare garden beds, remove invasive plant species, paint, and participate in other projects that will help make the parks and river corridors healthier and more attractive.
