MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – A new partnership will allow low-income households to purchase fresh produce at lower prices.
Montgomery County and Homefull are joining together to make sure SNAP and EBT services are allowed at Farmers’ Markets in the area.
It will also help support local farmers and small businesses.
“That means ensuring that all of our citizens and family have access to healthy, affordable food. There’s nearly 68 thousand people right here in Montgomery County who depend on SNAP to buy food for their family,” said Judy Dodge, Montgomery County Commissioner.
Families can buy their fresh groceries at the market at Wright Stop Plaza.
