Teaching pharmacy to open in Cedarville

Local News

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) – A new teaching pharmacy is opening Cedarville.

The former Cedarville Hardware store on OH-42 and Main Street was purchased in early 2018 by Cedar Care.

The renovations were completed in January, and now the pharmacy will serve the Village of Cedarville, as well as the student body at Cedarville University.

“We don’t want to just teach them the way we did pharmacy 10 years ago or 20 years ago. We want to teach them how we’re going to be doing pharmacy 10 years from now, so that’s the cool thing, is that when we bring our students in here from Cedarville University, we’ll be doing pharmacy of tomorrow. Cutting edge,” says Jeb Ballentine, Director of Pharmacy Services at Cedar Care Village Pharmacy.

Ohio’s First Lady, Fran DeWine, will be there Thursday for the pharmacy’s official ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration.
