We’ve enjoyed summer like temperatures the last few days but a taste of fall is on the way around the Miami Valley.

It’s time to give the air conditioning a break and let some fresh air in with temperatures in the 70s and lows in the 50s on the way.

First let’s take a look back at August so far.

We’ve seen two days where highs were in the 90s earlier this month. So far the average temperature for the month is at 75 degrees which is almost 2 degrees above normal.

We’ve picked up about 3 point six inches of rain which is about an inch and a half above average.
Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower 70s and lows will drop into the 50s. So we’ll be about 10 degrees below normal.

Same thing on Thursday,  highs will be in the 70s and lows in the 50s. Another day with temperatures below normal for highs and lows.

The taste of fall isn’t going to last very long. Here’s a look at the temperature outlook for the last week of August and the first part of September.

The Climate Prediction Center is forecasting a high probability of above normal temperatures next week and into the first of September.

So enjoy the next few cool days because we may see a bit of a warm up next week.
