MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Justice Advisory Committee for the Montgomery County Jail met for the last time Tuesday to finalize an improvement plan for the facility.
The task force was formed to design a proposal for meeting current needs.
“The jail has obvious issues as far as the plan itself, how the jail is designed. The old part of the jail is from 1964. There are obvious areas there that need to change to make it more up to today’s standards with inmates. We’ve already implemented changes as far as services go. We’re just looking forward to having our hands on this report and seeing what we can do realistically to make changes in the jail,” says Sheriff Rob Streck.
The task force will present their final improvement proposal to county administration on February 26.
