Suspect in custody in Beavercreek Township home burglary

BEAVERCREEK, Ohio (WDTN) –- The suspect in a home burglary in Beavercreek Township is in custody.

Authorities confirm 33-year-old Christopher Mikhak was taken into custody in Dayton Tuesday night. He is being held in the Greene County Jail.

He was wanted in connection with a burglary in Beavercreek Township early Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to 4030 Danern Drive around 2:30 Tuesday morning for a burglary complaint.

Police say the suspect, Christopher Mikhak, is known to the homeowners. He entered through the front door of the residence and shot the homeowner’s dog, which did survive.

The house was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Mikhak fled the scene before officers arrived.

Police issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of Aggravated Burglary.

Mikhak was considered armed and dangerous.
