DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) -- A suspect is in custody after a shooting in Dayton early Thursday.
Crews were called just after 12:30 a.m. Thursday to an area of Danner Avenue and Germantown Street near the De Soto Bass apartment complex.
Authorities say witnesses reported hearing people arguing and gunshots in the area.
In a 911 call, a woman claimed a man shot her boyfriend.
Officers say when they arrived they found a man who had been shot at least once.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with reported non-life threatening injuries.
A suspect was seen running in the area wearing all black. Officers took that person into custody a short time later.
Dayton Police say they're talking to witnesses to try and piece together what happened.
The square was enclosed in multiple layers of fencing, barricades and police surveillance.Read More »
