RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) – New surveillance video shows the moments before a Riverside woman went missing.

46-year-old Cheryl Coker has been missing for more than a week now.

Her car was discovered in a shopping center parking lot. Her car’s arrival to the lot was picked up by Joe Brumley’s security cameras at his store, Computer Network Accessories.

“We were in the back unloading a truck. So it happened right out front,” Brumley said.

However his store cameras do not show who exactly was in the car and what happened to them.

Coker’s cell phone and purse were still inside the car, but she was nowhere to be found.

In this surveillance video: Coker’s car can be seen driving down Spinning Road before entering the back of the parking lot and pulling into a parking space and stopping.

But because there wasn’t enough motion on the screen, the motion-activated cameras don’t pick up who left the car. 

“One camera was set to record, constantly. One camera – which was actually Clancy’s [Tavern] camera – was set to only motion record so when the car pulled in, there’s a few seconds where they don’t get out of the car and there’s no movement on the screen and the recorder shut off,” Brumley said.

“The person must not have gotten out of the car and went left or right, I think they would have went the other direction. It just wasn’t enough movement for the cameras to come back on.”

Brumley says he has turned the video over to police.

“I’ve lived here my whole life. I’ve never seen anything like it,” Brumley said. “This is the first time we’ve ever had an incident like this. It’s unfortunate because I really thought we had something.”
