Sugarcreek Township road closed due to flooding

Local roads are being impacted by Saturday’s flooding in Greene County.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Mill Road at Stewart Road in Sugarcreek Township is closed due to high water.

Crews shut down the road the around 9:15 Sunday morning. The sheriff’s office is waiting for the water to recede before they re-open the road.

There is no word on any other road closures in the area due to flooding. 

Greene County, along with several other southern counties, dealt with flash flood warnings due to heavy rainfall Saturday night. They have since expired.
