Students help out on ‘Make a Difference Day’

Local News

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Hundreds of Dayton students took an unconventional field trip Wednesday.

Kids from Bishop Leibold rolled up their sleeves for “Make a Difference Day,” where over 200 students volunteered at several charities around the city.

Some of the non-profits who received some extra help include House of Bread and St. Vincent De Paul.

The organizations hope the participation will leave a lasting impact on the students.

“It shows that we care about our people and when we care about our people and we take care of our people, nothing really matters. Everything will be alright,” said Anthony Roebuck, Operations Manager of House of Bread. “It’s good for the students and young people to really see what it means to serve the community.”

This is the school’s fourth year for the event.
