TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) – Officials say that Monday afternoon, a Tippecanoe High School student reported a possible threat against the school. It was discovered that not only was a threat made on social media, but a specific plan had been verbally stated in the presence of other students.

Tipp City Police were immediately notified of the situation.

It is unknown at this time if the student was arrested, but the school did state:

“Threats of this nature are against the Tipp City Schools Student Code of Conduct and carry legal consequences. With the assistance of Tipp City Police, the District has taken appropriate steps to address this issue, including the student’s removal from school.”

Officials go on to applaud the students who brought the issue to staff’s attention and encourage all students, staff, and parents to remain vigilant.
