DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Tara Hastings says the tornado watch for the entire Miami Valley has been extended to 1:00 a.m. Wednesday.

We’ve had team coverage on the severe weather throughout the day Tuesday.

The storms that passed through the Miami Valley Tuesday afternoon knocked down power lines leaving many in the dark.

According to the Dayton Power and Light outage map, as of 6:00 pm there were just under 900 customers without power.

DP&L crews are working fast to restore power to those affected by the storms.

Take a look at the map here:

While outages were spread across the Miami Valley, Greene County had the largest number of outages after the storms.

More severe weather is expected Tuesday night as a second line of storms moves through the area.
