Springfield Police release video in connection with murder investigation

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died after being shot in Springfield Monday.

Police found the man shot at Clifton and East Grand Avenues around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The man later died from his injuries.

The coroner’s office identified the victim as 50-year-old Jose Hermilo Lopez Gutierrez, who lived in Springfield.

Springfield Police have identified a person of interest in the case. In a newly-released surveillance video she is seen walking down the street and then pulling a hood over her face.

Authorities say the case is being investigated as a homicide.
