SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The Promise Neighborhood Organization partnered with a local taco shop Sunday to raffle off a scooter to one lucky person. It’s part of their campaign to raise money for resources for the community. They raised more than $2,000 for the organization.
Organizers say it takes a community coming together to inspire change. Kali Lawrence is the Co-Director of The Promise Neighborhood. She says, “It’s an incredible support. We’re a small non-profit that works on the south side and so to have people like Felix who are local business owners who are committed to giving back to the Springfield community is incredibly important and I hope it shows everybody that there are people here in Springfield that are willing to give back.”
They also gave away another scooter to the staff in appreciation of all their hard work.
