Springboro home damaged by smoke, flames

SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) – Firefighters were called to a home on fire in the 600 block of West Lytle Five Points Road Thursday.

Emergency crews were called to the home around 10:45 am Thursday.

Chief Steve Agenbroad of the Clearcreek Fire District told 2 NEWS when crews arrived they saw heavy smoke and flames in the rear of the home.

It is not clear if the fire began inside or outside the home.

Agenbroad said one person was home at the time of the fire but was outside when firefighters arrived.

Firefighter were able to quickly put the fire out but the damage done was extensive. The residents will not be able to stay in the home.

The fire remains under investigation.
