A man is in custody after leading Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers on a chase early Friday morning.

Troopers found a vehicle around 2 a.m. Friday on U.S. 35 near Woodman Drive. OSP says that vehicle fled from Beavercreek Police minutes earlier on I-675.

The vehicle fled from Troopers as well and a pursuit began. OSP says speeds reached nearly 130 miles per hour during the pursuit.

It continued into Dayton, where the vehicle crashed into the median about a half mile past James H. McGee Boulevard.

Dayton Police arrived at the scene to assist. Police say the suspect initially refused to get out of his vehicle.

The man eventually surrendered to police. He refused a field sobriety test and was taken into custody on suspicion of OVI.

The man wasn’t hurt.

Authorities haven’t released the suspect’s name.

The incident is under investigation.
