DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Employees at Sinclair Community College will host a Thanksgiving luncheon for area police officers who have to spend their Thanksgiving holiday on duty.
Officers from the Dayton Police Department, University of Dayton, Sinclair, and Five Rivers MetroParks are expected to attend.
“Our local police officers are here for us all year,” said Sinclair College Ombudsman Amy Hartman. “This event is about thanking them for all that they do for our community.”
The lunch will be held in Building 7 Room 310 at 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
“We hosted a dinner for local officers last year and that was a tremendous success,” said Sinclair Police Chief John Huber. “Our officers are working and taking time away from their loved ones to keep Sinclair and our communities safe so we are more than happy to host again this year.”
