KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — SICSA is launching a new campaign to help keep up with its growing pet care needs.
The “Clean Cuddle” campaign is an online fundraiser.
SICSA officials are asking people to donate money that will be used to purchase a new washer and dryer for the facility.
According to SICSA officials, the facility cares for more than 1,600 homeless pets each year.
SICSA makes sure each animal gets a continuous rotation of fresh, laundered materials. That includes blankets, towels bedding and toys.
According to SICSA officials, future plans at the facility will allow for a 73% increase in capacity for both daogs and cats. With more animals expected at the facility, SICSA’s current equipment will not be able to handle the increase in materials that need to be cleaned on a regular basis.
On the donation page, SICSA has set a goal of $9,000 to purchase the new, industrial-strength washer and dryer.
SICSA officials say a donor has agreed to match that number, donating $9,000 more to complete the purchase.
