A semi crash shut down an Eaton road early Monday morning.
The crash happened in the 900 block of Richmond Pike, in front of the the International Paper Company.
Fire officials say a semi was turning into the business around 12:45 a.m. That’s when another semi tried to avoid the turning vehicle and swerved off the road, crashing into a ditch.
Police say the semi that crashed was hauling alcohol, with the contents spilling across the road. That semi jack-knifed, with the trailer splitting in half.
Authorities shut down Richmond Pike from Main Street Lexington in order to clean up the scene and investigate the crash. All roads reopened by 6:20 a.m. Monday.
No one was hurt in the crash.
It remains under investigation.
