SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — Authorities shut down part of a busy interstate in Clark County due to a semi fire.
The fire started just before 6 a.m. Thursday in the westbound lanes of I-70, near US-68.
All lanes of I-70 westbound were closed due to the fire. All lanes reopened just before 9 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities say the semi was driving west on I-70 when the driver noticed the fire. The driver tried to put out the fire on their own, but could not.
The semi was hauling water.
No injuries were reported.
There’s no word on what caused the fire.
