TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – Troy Police arrested two people on drug charges Friday morning as part of an ongoing investigation.
Our partners at the Troy Daily News report that officers executed a search warrant at a home located at 204 ½ South Union St. and during the process, learned that a drug dealer’s source was possibly going to show up.
When the suspected source made an appearance, they drove through a yard and fled the scene.
A pursuit began, starting from the 200 block of Union Street to North Mulberry Street.
The suspect discarded some drugs on East Main Street that were later recovered by officers and found more drugs once the car was stopped.
The driver, as well as the original target of the search warrant, were both taken into custody at the scene.
40-year-old Deontay Brown, of Dayton, is charged with trafficking heroin, tampering with evidence, and failure to comply/fleeing and eluding, all third-degree felonies.
39-year-old Timothy Mowry Jr., of Troy, faces two counts of trafficking in drugs, both felony charges.
The men are being held at the Miami County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing and more charges may be filed.
