YORKSHIRE, Ohio (WDTN) – S & D Smith Dairy has voluntarily recalled some of its chocolate milk products due to bad pasteurization.

This recall involves roughly 10 half-gallons of chocolate milk and 15 12 oz. containers of chocolate milk dated for November 14.

The milk was sold at Crossway Farms and Karoc Marathon in Sidney and Steiner’s Country Market in Eaton.

Officials say the product is being recalled because it did not achieve proper pasteurization temperature during processing and pathogens could potentially have survived.

There have been no reports of illness, however, individuals showing symptoms of foodborne illness should call a physician immediately.

If you have purchased this product, you are asked to return it to S & D Smith Dairy, LLC, or discard it.

Anyone with questions is asked to call (419) 336-6279.
